Outstanding Math, Science, and Engineering Teachers

The Philadelphia Engineering Foundation, in conjunction with the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Committee of the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia, is seeking applications for the Outstanding Math, Science, and Engineering Teacher Awards as part of the celebration of Delaware Valley Engineers Week.

In the past, we have honored one math and one science teacher in grades 6 through 12 in the Delaware Valley*. Recognizing that some schools now have engineering courses, we have added a third award for those who teach these courses.

Each of the three selected teachers will receive a $200 award and will be recognized at the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Awards Luncheon on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the DoubleTree Hotel Philadelphia.

Teaching can be a difficult job, with students not always interested in learning and parents not always actively involved. The public doesn’t always understand the difficulties encountered by teachers and the hard work required. Please help us to reward one of your teachers who has demonstrated an exceptional ability to reach and teach the students by nominating him or her for this award.

Contact Ernie Hanna, PE if you have any questions.
