- Scholarship Info and Application
The Delaware Valley Engineers Week Committee of the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia, on behalf of the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation, administers six scholarships. This section provides information on all six scholarships, which use a common application form.
You may apply for more than one scholarship; however separate applications MUST be submitted for each scholarship.
All scholarship recipients are recognized at the Delaware Valley Engineers Week Awards and Proclamation Luncheon, which will be held Friday, February 17 at the Double Tree Hotel Philadelphia. All recipients and two guests will receive complimentary tickets; additional tickets can purchased. All recipients will be asked to provide an electronic photograph (headshot) of themselves.
Delaware Valley Engineers Week Scholarships *
Three Delaware Valley Engineers Week (DVEW) Scholarships are awarded:

DVEW Undergraduate Scholarship ($1,000 scholarship)

DVEW Community College Scholarship ($1,000 scholarship)

DVEW / American Society of Civil Engineers Scholarship ($2,000 scholarship)
The applications will be evaluated on these criteria

Curriculum and Grades 20%

Pennoni / John Morrison Memorial Scholarship *
Pennoni Associates, Inc. annually awards the Pennoni / John Morrison Memorial Scholarship to a civil engineering student from one of the Delaware Valley engineering schools. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a civil engineering student who:

has earned at least 50% of the credits required for a civil engineering degree
-
has maintained a GPA of at least 3.0
-
has indicated financial need
-
has engaged in extracurricular professional and community activities
-
is recommended by the Dean of Engineering at an accredited Delaware Valley college or university
Lewis A. Caccese Scholarship *
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to an engineering student who:

has earned at least 25% of the credits required for an engineering degree
-
has maintained a GPA of at least 3.0
-
has engaged in extracurricular professional and community activities
-
is recommended by the Dean of Engineering at an accredited Delaware Valley college or university
Walter G. Neal, Jr. Memorial Scholarship *
The Walter G. Neal, Jr. Memorial Scholarship is available only to Engineers’ Club members and their immediate families (spouse or children) for engineering-related courses. Scholarship awards of up to $1,500 can be used for tuition and direct education expenses for:

undergraduate or graduate courses leading to a degree,
-
preparation for professional certification, or
-
specialized courses and seminars to bring practicing engineers up-to-date on latest techniques and new areas of engineering.
Applications must be returned no later than November 21, 2011.

* The Delaware Valley Engineers Week / American Society of Civil Engineers Scholarship is funded by the Philadelphia Section of ASCE. The remaining scholarships are financed by contributions from the engineering community or endowments administered by the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation.
