The Proclamation and Awards Luncheon, conducted at the Loews Hotel on February 12, drew over 200 attendees.  Fortunately, the roadways were generally cleared and the major snow of earlier that week prevented only a few people from attending.   The reception started earlier than in the past and included a poster session, where the college student paper award recipients were able to talk about their papers, and there were poster boards with information on the other individual award recipients.  This format allowed for interaction between the attendees and the award recipients and was well-received. 

Rather than focusing on Engineers Week proclamations, as in past years, the main program was the presentation of awards to 23 individual award recipients.  Following the award presentations, Selçuk Güçeri addressed attendees about how Engineers Make the World Go Round.
